Ways to Fix AT&T Email Password Stopped Working?

If you have recently configured your AT&T account in Outlook but suddenly faced an issue where your AT&T email password stopped working then no need to worry further as you can easily fix this problem with the help of few solutions as mentioned here:

Solution 1: Check AT&T Mail Server:

Before moving on to troubleshoot the problem, check whether the server of the AT&T mail is down or not. To do so, open the website ‘DownDetector.in’ and then search for the AT&T email icon. Once you are able to find it, click on it to check the status of its server. If the server is down for everybody then you’ve to wait until the AT&T website resolves its server issue and if the server is not down, then move on to the next method.

Solution 2: Check AT&T Outlook Email Settings:

Sometimes, improper configuration of email server settings can also lead to such problems so check here for the correct email server settings—

Incoming Mail Server:

  • Type of Server: IMAP

  • Name of Server: imap.mail.ATT.net

  • Port Number: 993

Outgoing Mail Server:

  • Type of Server: SMTP

  • Name of Server: smtp.mail.ATT.net

  • Security Type: SSL/TLS

If these server settings match with the server settings which you have used while configuring your AT&T account in Outlook, then move on to the last method to fix this issue.

Solution 3: Reset Password:

  • From your browser, search for ‘AT&T Sign-in Page’ and open it.

  • There, type your AT&T email id and then click on the ‘Forgot password’ link to reach the password recovery page.

  • On the page, choose ‘Security Question’ as your password recovery method.

  • Then, answer the security question correctly in order to gain access to the password reset page.

  • On the page, type a new password and then retype it to confirm your newly set password.

  • Now, login to your AT&T account with the help of the newly created password.
